Becs ended up in foster care very young because her father fell from a ladder and was left paralyzed when Becs was just 12 years old, and the family lost their home. Despite such hardship, she became a flight attendant later in life, a personal trainer, and perused sales. She always knew other things were waiting to happen to her, and when she realized that she wanted to become a doctor, “everything fell into place.” This is the inspiring story of now, Dr. Becs Bradford. She has provided one of many inspiring stories for students all across the globe.
At 35 years old she bought the books required for self-study for high school science and math and she earned her place in her pre-med course, to which she had to take 6-hour long trips while working 3 jobs.
She was disappointed when all the universities that she applied to rejected her. She then received an offer from the University of Bristol where she received financial support from the University. Yet she taught gym classes seven days a week. She also worked 12-hour assistant nursing shifts on the weekends. She would often get up at 4 am to study.
“I just had an inner knowing that this is what I’m meant to do with my life”, her to Good News Network. Her story serves as a motivational story for students who are struggling.
We wanted to know what fueled her. She told Good News Network, “I don’t know if I’m just a little delusional, but I believe that if your heart is in it, you can 100% do the crazy things you’ve always dreamed of.”
